Gualtiero Marchesi, for years if not for decades the undiscussed autocrat among Italy's star chefs, has again confirmed his image to be a gastronomic trend setter. In his Restaurant Teatro Alla Scala Il Marchesino he just introduced iPads at table on which, instead of reading more or less elaborated written or printed menus, guests can consult the menu, see photos of the meals and inform themselves about ingredients, possible allergy risks and more. The App consists of five chapters - antipasti, pasta and rice, fish, meat and sweets - and is available in Italian and Englisch. French and other languages to follow.
